Below are direct testimonials about Shailesh’s work ethic, personality, and accomplishments.
Zachary Van Doren, Vice President of Customer Success at Quaero
I’ve had the pleasure of working with Shailesh, who’s played a vital role within our customer success team. Shailesh is a hybrid talent, adept across technology, data, marketing, operations and client management. To lead successful outcomes at a ground-level for enterprise-class Customer Data Platform (CDP) clients, it’s critical in being able to work cross-functionally across tech, data and marketing teams; in what is often a highly fluid business environment with varying technical dependencies. Shailesh has thrived in these environments and would be a great asset to any organization.
Ashwin Nayak, VP, Product Engineering at Quaero
I have had the pleasure of working with Shailesh to deploy Quaero’s customer data platform (CDP) for a large financial services company. It was one of the most complex on-premises deployments. Shailesh led the customer success function responsible for broad responsibilities to ensure that the deployment was a success, including security approval from IT team, collaborating with 10+ teams to collate requirements, and partnering with internal teams. He makes deliberate efforts to learn end users’ experience and engages himself as part of the solution, and I find that unique quality in him. Shailesh has an uncanny ability of being strategic to identify customers’ marketing strategy, gets to specific details as needed, and learns new skills if needed. It requires deliberate planning, focus on execution, and constant communication to all the stakeholders, and he brings those experiences to the team. I’m excited to partner with Shailesh to deliver many more successful CDP deployments.
John Strabley, Chief Strategist at Optumine
I hired Shailesh and subsequently managed him during his first year of tenure at Quaero. When we hired Shailesh he had all of the relevant skills we were looking for yet lacked depth of experience in our domain (customer data platforms). However, he had such great energy and enthusiasm toward the opportunity we were certain with his skills and “can do attitude” that he would get up to speed in due time. He proved us right while far exceeded our expectations in doing so. As a result, within the first year at Quaero he managed not one, not two but three major migrations and upgrades that required coordination across geographically dispersed business, engineering and infrastructure divisions.
Two of these projects required daily interaction and coordination with representatives from our largest client at Quaero. Like members of the Quaero team, the client team members and representatives of their vendor implementation teams spanned across different functional areas and geographies. Shailesh was able to quickly earn their trust and confidence through his attention to detail, comprehensive approach and ensuring prompt and timely responses from the Quaero team. The complexity of these projects lay not only in the coordination of diverse human resources but also in the scale of the data (billions of transactions per day) involved and the intricate business rules applied to transform the data. The business transformation layer was developed from the soon to be legacy source systems over a number of years and it was critical that they were accurately translated to the new data sources so that there would be no material impact to the end business users. Shailesh’s involvement in managing this process was critical. He not only help to drive the documentation but given his penchant to want to roll up his sleeves, he also helped lead the QA process making sure that we had 100% accuracy in the migrated translations before any release went out. The success of these projects was not only critical to Quaero’s success but also our client. These migrations had C-Suite visibility at a Fortune 500 company. Shailesh’s role in making these projects a huge success cannot be overstated.
The third project he managed during his first year at Quaero was a project to re-platform our product and client instances to next-generation technology. While this did not have nearly as much external visibility, this was a priority to complete on time and on the budget at the senior leadership level in Quaero. The project had significant implications for both future cost avoidance and enabling greater capabilities for our product. Much like the other two projects, this required significant coordination across groups within Quaero including engineering, product development, infrastructure, and our data science teams. Shailesh was truly the glue helping to make sure this project stayed on track and was completed successfully.
Shailesh’s responsibilities did not end with these three projects. He also oversaw and monitored our daily operations for our largest client. He coordinated troubleshooting across our India and US offices and often served as the first line of defense handling many client inquiries on his own. The complexity of our solution and our client’s business required great attention to detail and an extremely high level of responsiveness, both of which Shailesh helped our team achieve.
Shailesh was an absolute pleasure to work with. He took accountability for any projects and tasks he was given. He was great at coordinating resources across divisions and groups even when they had competing priorities. Shailesh communicated pro-actively to keep me informed of progress and quickly raised any red flags or concerns he had so that I could step in and help to re-prioritize and/or further escalate. At the end of the day, I slept better knowing Shailesh was involved in a project as I knew he had things more than covered. I hope that one day we will get another opportunity to work together as he is truly an “A” talent
Roshin Babu, Data Architect at Amazon Web Services
I worked with Shailesh at Quaero when he was responsible for handling the largest client account for Quaero and was impressed with how well he handled such large-scale programs. He excels in both technical and business aspects of the program and goes above and beyond to deliver the results for his customer and balances the short term versus long term goals in the best interest of his customer. He is one of those people who can easily succeed in any environment regardless of the technology stack or business domain and it was a joy to work with him.
Amit Goswami, Director of Implementation at Quaero
I have worked with Shailesh on several large scale initiatives helping customers in their digital transformation journey. His greatest strength is his ability to operate at every level seamlessly. He is detail-oriented and excels at overcoming barriers to success. I routinely observe him engaging with customers on complex use cases – defining the need, collaborating with engineering teams on solutions, and marshalling the necessary resources to get things done. He is a value integrator, a customer advocate who routinely pitches new product features to the internal teams that ultimately create business value for end-users. He would be an asset to any company.

Shailesh and I have worked together for about two years at Citigroup, and he continues to add tremendous value to the organization. He has increased and solidified the usage of generating quantifiable measurements in managing day-to-day global operations, as well as architecting the development of custom tools in support of strategic decision-making. His extensive knowledge, insights, adept negotiation and influential skills have been instrumental in business process automation activities and improving overall customer and partner satisfaction. I can confidently state that Shailesh would be a valuable resource to any organization.
Soumak Banerjee, Associate Director (Sr. Architect) at Mindtree
Shailesh and me were among the first few persons who started the project for StateStreet AMS project. As a business leader he helped the project to successfully transition to Wipro. I like to mention couple of his top qualities he unknowingly possess.
- Clear vision: Knows what he wants to do. I feel he always had a clear goal in his mind and always work towards that.
- People connection: He can connect with the people in the workplace with ease and helped him to have an edge over others
- Eye to details and looking for bigger picture: For many people, this characteristics are contradictory. However, I would like to tell them, work with Shailesh and you’ll find these almost mutually exclusive qualities co-exists.
- He help the technical team and me to understand the basics of Securities Lending. He is SME in this area.
I wish him all success in his future.
